Larry Deming | Violin, Viola

Larry Deming received his Bachelor’s degree from the Indiana University School of Music, studying violin with Henryk Kowalski. He has played in the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, is Concertmaster of the Danbury Symphony Orchestra, and founded the Deming String Quartet. He has played violin and viola around the world with such diverse musicians as John Denver, the Electric Light Orchestra II, Jessye Norman, Luciano Pavarotti, Rachel Barton Pine, Smokey Robinson, Kenny Rogers, Isaac Stern, James Taylor, Earl Wild, and Paul Winter. He is now an instructor of Violin and Viola at Kent School in Kent, CT. His CD, "Journey to the East, was released in 2005. He has been director of the Summer Strings Program at the Danbury Music Centre since 2002.

George Whetstone | Violin, Viola

George Whetstone studied viola at the Hartt School of Music and Western Connecticut State University. His festival affiliations have included work with the Manhattan String Quartet and residencies at Music Mountain and the Aspen Music Festival. George has performed in orchestras including the Mexican City Opera, the American Chamber Orchestra, Albany Symphony, Ridgefield Symphony, Sarasota Opera, Metro Lyric Opera, New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, and the Garden State Philharmonic.

Julie Overland | Violin, Piano

Julie Overland teaches music in the Greenwich Public Schools and has also taught in the Bethel Public Schools. She founded and directed "Kindermusik" of Western Connecticut. Julie has a BFA in Music from Ithaca College, a MA in Education from WCSU, and has her 6th year in Educational leadership at the University of Connecticut. She is also a registered music therapist. Julie has toured as a violinist with orchestras performing in Japan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Okinawa, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic and all across the United States. She continues to perform with the American Chamber Orchestra, Broadway Bach Ensemble, and her own string quartet.
