Halfway There: Violinists, Guitarists and the Mandolin

mandolin.png

Learning to play an instrument, the biggest obstacles are frequently the unknowns:

  • How long will it take until I can actually play something?

  • How much practice do I need to devote to this thing in order to achieve my goals?

  • Will I really be able to do this at all?

But violinists and guitarists both possess an advantage when migrating to the mandolin:

  • You already have skills that are directly transferred to that instrument!

  • The mandolin is tuned exactly like a violin. Thus violinists already know the fretboard.

  • And guitar players (most of you..) already know how to use a pick, and are familiar with fretting technique.

You’re Halfway There!
